HOTT participated in the Volunteer Toronto Youth Expo held on October 23, 2016 at the Ryerson Mattamy Athletic Centre. The event drew in over 1,300 youth eager to volunteer with local non profit organizations.
With an overwhelming interest in volunteering with HOTT, we look forward to being able to provide enriching volunteer opportunities for youth across the city. Thank you for having us!
Once again, the HOTT community gathered under the sun for some food, music, games and fun! Held on July 26, 2016 at Woodbine Beach park, the summer picnic allowed us to continue to build and nurture a healthier community. Thank you to everyone who attended – see you again next year!
Craft Your Change
HOTT was selected as one of twenty non profit organizations to attend a volunteer fair hosted by Volunteer Toronto on June 20, 2016. We were given the opportunity to meet many professionals with unique skills willing to share them with us. Many new and exciting projects are now well under way. It was a great success and we are happy to have been a part of it!
Thank you to everyone who attended and/or made a contribution towards our fundraiser held at the Cambria Gallery in Toronto on May 26, 2016! Your generosity assists HOTT in continuing to be able to provide quality, safe and affordable housing to marginalized populations.
Annual Christmas Party
The HOTT community gathered for an evening of fun, delicious food, surprise visits and this year – live music! We couldn’t have done it without the help of the many volunteers who always go the extra mile. Thank you!
A special thank you to Chef Aller-stead and his team from the Monarch Park Collegiate Food program for another delicious spread that did not disappoint and to Fresh from the Farm for the amazing turkeys and chickens which fed over 70 individuals. Health and Wellness Community Fair
HOTT was happy to participate in the Health and Wellness Community Fair hosted by SCAS – Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies. It was held on November 26, 2015 and it gave all of the attendees an opportunity to engage many local Social Service Organizations represented.
On July 29, 2015, we got together for our annual HOTT summer picnic.
This year we enjoyed good food and summer fun at Woodbine Beach Park in Toronto.
Thanks to everyone who attended!
HOTT’s volunteer Board of Directors and Executive Director met on May 2, 2015 to strategize and plan for the next few years at HOTT. The time and energy spent will undoubtedly yield fruitful results.
